Capidea Invests in Houkjær Begravelse

The Danish private equity fund Capidea is acquiring a majority stake in Houkjær Begravelse, Denmark’s
leading funeral home business with more than 100 branches and headquarters in Horsens. Founder Jakob
Houkjær will continue as CEO and a significant co-owner of the company.

Houkjær Begravelse is the largest funeral home business in Denmark, helping thousands of families
through life’s most difficult moments every year. The company is known for high quality and strong
values, with an emphasis on personal care and local presence.
