Erik enjoys cycling, and in the summer of 2024, he participated in the Team Rynkeby charity ride to Paris, raising funds for children with critical illnesses. He plans to do it again in 2025. Team Rynkeby organizes this annual ride to Paris to support children in need of medical care.
In 2024, nearly DKK 70 million was donated to organizations helping critically ill children, thanks to the efforts of riders like Erik. Previously, Erik also participated with his eldest daughter, Trine. In 2023, they took on the challenge of cycling up Mont Ventoux—the famous “bald mountain” in France. However, Trine’s time was considerably better than Erik’s!
